A network for all businesses in Buxton, seeking to inform, represent and encourage collaboration for the benefit of the whole town

Steve Thomason, chair of Buxton Business Club said,

“We have seen a significant number of local businesses join us as free members since we set up the club in October 2025. The variety of businesses represented is encouraging, as is the size of each business.

“I am particularly heartened by the rise in a new generation of business owners establishing themselves in town, with innovative ideas and a fresh passion to succeed. Supporting and encouraging this new generation is certainly one of the objectives for Buxton Business Club over the new few years.

“As a network organisation we want to encourage and support all businesses in Buxton and the surrounding area. Our unique style networking evenings have attempted to do this over the last few months with short interview sessions on:

• Effects of the Chancellors Budget on business finances
• Impact of AI on business activities
• Achieving business growth without relying on constant new leads

“Promoting and highlighting local business is another key objective for Buxton Business Club. We have started to interview owners at each of our networking evenings, plus highlight one or two through our monthly newsletter and social media activity.

“A key objective for Buxton Business Club is partnerships and collaborations, not just between businesses of all sizes and types but with other business support organisations in the area. Across the country businesses and organisations that partner and collaborate are discovering huge benefits, Buxton can experience the same with everyone enjoying the rewards.”
